We have many medical students who spend their elective attachment with us. In general the nature of our work means an attachment is best suited to senior clinical students rather than pre-clinical students. Also we expect students to spend a minimum of six weeks with the Unit.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
As you will see from the website an attachment with us should give you an insight into the treatment of drug resistant malaria and the current research approaches. In addition you will have a unique opportunity to work with Karen staff and patients in Mae La camp and at our clinics treating mainly migrant workers along the border.
